A good majority of our beneficiaries are construction labourers, who form a substantial percentage of the migrant, unserved urban poor population. The government has initiated many programs to address livelihood issues for them. But access to government schemes requires labour cards. The strict processes of enrolment lead to a situation where many (illiterate) labourers aren’t enrolled, which in turn means they cannot avail government benefits. Parinaam took the initiative to enrol all eligible beneficiaries for labour cards under our Covid Relief program.
